Classical, tough field jacket
The NORTHUMBRIA JACKET was introduced in 1979 as a field jacket for fishing, hunting, and all other activities. It is characterized by a long silhouette that covers the hips and is called the most functional model of the BARBOUR line.

Waxed to a thicker fabric, the jacket is waterproof, windproof, and durable, making it a tough jacket that can withstand inclement weather and heavy use.



The optional "Zip Fur Vest" can be attached as a liner.

Tough 8 oz. fabric
While most regular models use 6 oz. fabric, this one uses a thick 8 oz. oiled cotton fabric. In addition to the durability of the fabric itself, the original oil coating gives it excellent waterproofing, windproofing, and heat retention properties, making it tough enough to cope with inclement weather and giving it a heavy texture.

Lined with traditional tartan plaid
The lining and sleeve lining are made of a resilient cotton tartan plaid fabric. The cotton cloth lining eliminates the risk of oil seeping into the inner lining.

Fully functional
The collar is made of elegant corduroy and has a chin strap. Worn upright, it prevents wind from entering through the neck. There are buttons on the back for attaching a hood (sold separately).



The front has a windproof snap button and double zipper closure with a zipper pocket next to the zip.



In addition to a handwarmer pocket, a large flap pocket with excellent storage capacity is placed.



Inside, there is an inside pocket in the chest area and a removable inside pocket around the waist.



The hook and loop fastener on the cuffs can be adjusted to prevent cold air from entering.
